One of the three founding partners of The Soloist Hair Salon, Nicholas Chua exudes a sense of confidence beyond his age, and has exceptional skills in hair cutting, coloring, perming, styling and so much more. He enjoys drawings and collecting vintage art works and materials in his free time when he is not seen holding a pair of scissors or playing with colours at the salon.
Nicholas believes, “As a hairstylist, one needs to have the heart of an artist and the brain of a designer.”
Fell in love with all things related to hair for more than 10 years now, his love affair has grown even stronger these days with the forming of The Soloist Hair Salon with his other two founding partners. Marcus Chin loves cutting and coloring most now, as he feels these two elements go hand-in-hand and they are areas that give him the most satisfaction in terms of creativity. He has found his calling and confidence in the hair industry. He loves cooking and would not mind to invite you for a meal or two some day.
Marcus subscribes to Bob Marley’s saying, “Don’t worry about a thing, every little thing is gonna be alright.”
The only female founder of The Soloist Hair Salon, Eewen Yap injects that feminine aspect to the business of hair, bringing a breath of fresh air and unique perspective to how hair styling should be interpreted. Always eager and ready to try new things, she impresses her customers and is adored by media friends with her creative hair work for photo shoots.
Eewen believes, “You are greater than you know yourself to be. So just be great!”
